Elder Larry W. Coffee, Pastor & Founder

 

 

 

Elder Larry W. Coffee is the first born of three sons born to Willie G. and the late Betty A. Coffee. He has four siblings, three brothers and one sister. He currently resides in his hometown of Fitzgerald, Georgia. After leaving Fitzgerald in 1973, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a brief stay. During the years following high school, his life traveled a rocky road of drugs, alcohol, and much riotous living until September 1980 when he accepted Christ as his personal savior.

After accepting Christ he then married Kaye Chatfield in December 1980. Together Elder and Sister Coffee have five children and seven grandchildren. Yes, he is a proud grandpa.

October 17, 1981 Elder Coffee began his ministry in the Church God by Faith in Fitzgerald, under the leadership of Elder Quainton Neloms. In December of 1986 he became an ordained minister and an ordained elder in 1990.

He and his wife began an outreach ministry in September 1983 in Ashburn, Georga. This ministry has grown into a progressive church, Madison Avenue Church of God by Faith, Life Changing Ministries. Elder Coffee is a well-known minister throughout the state of Georgia for his ability to reach the unchurched. His ministry is reaching throughout the southeastern region of the United States, and beyond.

Elder Coffee also serves as a member of the South Georgia District C.O.G.B.F. Elder's Board, Chairman of the Christian Board of Education and Chairman of the District Ministerial Alliance. He is also a member of the Examining Board of the National Churches of God by Faith.

Because of Pastor Coffee's own life experiences, he has been instrumental in turning hundreds of lives around, saving marriages, teaching men how to be men, by loving and providing for their families.

Lady S. Kaye Coffee

Sister Kaye Chatfield Coffee is the daughter of the late Levon Chatfield and Mrs. Daisy and Mr. W. A. Taylor. She has two siblings, one sister and one brother. She was born in Ocilla, Georgia and graduated from Irwin County High School in 1973. After graduation she attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned a dergee in Nursing. Since graduation she has worked in various capacities of nursing and continues to work occassionally when work doesn't interfere with the work of the ministry. 

December 13, 1980 she married the love of her life, Larry W. Coffee after he accepted Christ into his life. They have five children and seven grandchildren. 

In September 1983, Sister Kaye, as she is affectionately known traveled with her husband in an evangelistic mission to Ashburn, Georgia. This mission developed into a church in which they currently serves as leaders. Sister Kaye works diligently in the ministry with her husband, Pastor Coffee.


She is an anointed teacher, works with the Youth Ministry, and leads the women's ministry and the New Member Orientation Team. Sister Kaye is a great encourager and one of her passions is to motivate others to become greater and live greater lives especially in Christ Jesus.
